Questions to Consider:
  • As with any procedure, what are the possible complications and risks?
  • Is there risk of a possible blood clot forming?
  • Can it be removed if necessary, and if so what are the possible risks associated?
  • Can this device affect other areas of the nervous system?
  • What is recovery like?
  • How will this improve quality of life?
  • Can you talk us out of not proceeding with the procedure?
  • Will the device prevent future MRI scans if needed?
  • How will this affect going through a metal detector?
  • When it comes to anti-epileptic drugs, what percentage can this device decrease the amount of drug intake if any?
